Brown China-mark

Elophila nymphaeata (63.114)

The Brown China-mark is a highly variable species with some individuals being attractively marked. It is on the wing in July and August is can be common around ponds, lakes and canals. The Brown China-mark is unusual as the larvae are entirely aquatic, feeding on aquatic plants.
